HHDC offers a range of Dance Classes, Workshops and Courses to Schools, Nurseries, Education and Community Centres.
Before and After School Dance Clubs - Primary Schools: A great way to start or end the day, these fun classes consists of a Warm-up, basic Jazz movements and routines, creative ideas for the children to explore, stretching, and a Cool -down. Dance is often seen as just a creative subject, teachers forgetting the aerobic structure, stretching and body awareness that is embody within a dance class. For those children that aren't so sport orientated, dance is often a 'sport' they do engage with, encompassing a non competitive, fun, challenging way to exercise.
Dance Workshops - Primary and Secondary Schools (1/2 day or full day): Workshops consist of a basic dance class followed by creative work that builds into a short performance piece. Workshop themes can either be set by the School to support the academic term or used as a 'dance introduction/intensive'.
Dance Projects - Primary and Secondary: Projects can be based upon the School Curriculum to enhance and extend teaching and learning. Students work with HHDC teachers over a period of time to create a performance piece. Past project inc: Beneath The Sea.
